This policy explains what information the KAPPY website (kappy-app.com) collects and what we do with it. It covers this website only. The KAPPY app will have its own privacy policy, published before the app launches.

Who we are

KAPPY is a restaurant and café discovery app being built in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, by Khemra Bonamy and Yannick Romer. For any question about your data, email khemra.bonamy@kappy-app.com or yannick.romer@kappy-app.com.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist

If you fill in the "Get early access" form, we receive your name, your email address, whether you are a diner or a restaurant and, for restaurants, the name of your venue. We use this only to tell you when KAPPY launches and, for restaurants, to contact you about becoming a Partner. The form is handled by our website host, Netlify, which stores the submissions for us.

When you browse the website

We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site: which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors come from (country and city), the type of device and browser, and which website or link brought them here. Google Analytics uses cookies to tell visits apart. We do not use this data for advertising, and Google's advertising features are switched off.

You can stop this measurement at any time by clicking "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page and choosing "Opt out". Your choice is saved in your browser.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't send marketing emails other than launch news you asked for, and every email lets you unsubscribe.

Services we rely on

Netlify (website hosting and form submissions) and Google Analytics (audience measurement). These companies process data on our behalf and may store it outside Cambodia.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist details until the launch campaign is over, or until you ask us to delete them. Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics retention settings.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the information you gave us. Just email one of the addresses above and we'll reply within a reasonable time.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
